Concrete can feel cold and it can absorb heat but there are ways to insulate it and make concrete give you a warm surface. Where needed the thermal mass of concrete can be used to assist with passive design. We look at a range of issues and options related to heat and insulation of concrete.
There are many types of stains on concrete. Some of the more common are oil, food and gum leaves or tannin stains. We look at how to avoid these and how to remove them if the occur.
